High Current Use
There are 12 volt and 24 volt Relays. Each voltage has two duty types.
Continuous Duty: Designed to be on continuously. This relay should never be connected directly to the pump motor. Main Battery power is normally connected to this relay except for manual control leveling systems and stand alone slide-out, gen slide or saddle rack systems. This relay is designated "MASTER" on the part sticker.
Intermittent Duty: Designed to be turned on and off frequently. This relay connects directly to the pump motor. Battery power can be connected directly to this relay when necessary. This relay is designated "PUMP" on the part sticker. If only one relay is present on the pump motor, it will normally be the Intermittent Duty relay.
Note: Many relays look identical but are not. It is important to make sure you get the correct relay for your application.
