HWH® was founded in 1967 and for the first 17 years of business they designed & manufactured machines and hydraulics for agricultural customers like John Deere and Caterpillar. During those early years in the AG industry, HWH® discovered a niche for supplying hydraulic leveling systems to the RV industry (because the RV industry was currently borrowing agricultural equipment to patch their needs). HWH® has since led the RV industry in hydraulic and air leveling technology. They’ve introduced countless innovative hydraulic slide-out systems to the market and have brought many other innovative hydraulic/air solutions to the RV market ranging from hydraulic step systems to air suspension systems to saddle-rack systems. HWH® is proud to play a part in enriching the RV experience for hundreds of thousands of RVers throughout the world.

Our manufacturing resources
HWH®’s manufacturing facility consists of nearly ten acres under roof and nearly 80 CNC machines. Because we design, manufacture, and assemble 99% of our parts in-house we have a unique ability to maintain quality-control, create new products quickly, and respond rapidly to consumer needs. Our in-house engineering team of ten graduate engineers allows us to efficiently satisfy the demands of our fast-paced industry.
Our history
HWH® was founded in Illinois in 1967 by the Hanser family. In 1979 operations moved to Moscow, Iowa and the business has evolved into our current family of 200+ loyal employees, some working for the business over 45 years.
Our financials
HWH® is a privately held corporation owned by a small group of shareholders. At our peak before the recession, we employed upwards of 450 people and reached 63 million dollars in annual sales. We owe our success and longevity to our quality-driven customers and our dedicated employees.
HWH® systems are manufactured at three Iowa locations:OUR MAIN FACILITY This is the location where HWH engineers & performs machining, welding and assembly operations on the HWH Hydraulic & Air Leveling Systems, Hydraulic Slide-Out Systems and Slide-Out Accessories. They also install HWH Slide-Out Systems on Bus Shells and other specialty vehicles at this location. |

HWH manufacturing facilities and ware-houses are all located in Eastern/Central Iowa. The facilities are located about 30 miles West of Davenport and 20 miles East of Iowa City, about 1/4 mile South of I-80. |
Facilities at this location total around six acres (under roof). Finished product is shipped to OEM customers and RV Product Distributors from this location. Moscow is also the site of the HWH Corporate Headquarters, Engineering Team, Customer Sales & Support Center, Customer Service/Installation Center and Human Resources Office.
2087 307th STREET, Moscow Facility
This is our 20,000 square foot plant where we mainly manufacture computers & electrical components for our systems.
320 WEST FIRST STREET, Wilton Facility
Wilton is the home of a 3.4 acre (under roof) plant that serves mainly as a second manufacturing facility for HWH Hydraulic Slide-Out Systems. Various metalworking, welding, laser cutting and assembly operations are performed at this plant. The HWH plant in Wilton is located directly behind the Wilton Precision Steel Company.
