BEFORE FLOOR IS INSTALLED, INITIAL PRESSURE LINE BLEED.
IMPORTANT: THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS FOR ASSEMBLY LINE START UP WITHOUT ROOMS ATTACHED AND USING TEST CYLINDERS FOR THE INITIAL SYNCHRONIZING OF THE SYSTEM.
NOTE: Low voltage may affect operation of system. System must have 10 volts or higher under load at motor. Measure voltage between the positive motor stud and ground stud on the power unit. Push and hold pump run switch and measure voltage.
Steps 1 -3 will only need to be done once for the complete HWH system. Do not repeat if already done on another mechanism.
1. Check fluid level and make sure power unit reservoir is full, approximately 1 inch down from the top of the tank fill hole. Open both the cylinder EXTEND and cylinder RETRACT valves for the sync. cylinder that is furthest from the power unit in the hydraulic circuit. The furthest manifold (remote or integrated into the sync cylinder) from the power unit will only have one pressure line and one return line.
2. Push and hold the auxiliary pump run switch for a minimum of 30 seconds, if there is only one HWH slide-out mechanism. If there are more that one HWH slide-out mechanism, keep the pump running for approximately 60 seconds.
3. Close both valves and check the reservoir fluid level. Top off the reservoir if necessary. Use the manual valve release levers to open the valves and use the "PUMP RUN" switch top operate the pump.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the fluid level in the power unit reservoir does not get lower than 2 or 3 inches from the top of the reservoir fill hole. If the fluid level gets too low, the pump will draw air into the system. This can create problems synchronizing the system or cause damage to the pump. Check fluid level several times during synchronizing procedure.
NOTE: PLATFORM MECHANISM MAY START TO ROTATE UP OR DOWN BEFORE TEST CYLINDERS ARE FULLY EXTENDED OR RETRACTED.
BEFORE FLOOR IS INSTALLED, CYLINDER SYNCHRONIZATION AND PLATFORM OPERATION.
4. Open the cylinder EXTEND valve. Push and hold the pump run switch. The platform lift will rotate up. After the platform lift is nearly/fully rotated up both test cylinders should start to extend. After both test cylinders are fully extended hold pump run switch for a count of five. Close EXTEND valve before releasing the pump run switch.
5. Open the cylinder RETRACT valve. Push and hold the pump run switch. Both test cylinders should retract. After both test cylinders are nearly/fully retracted the platform should rotate down. After platform lift is fully down hold pump run switch for a count of five. Close RETRACT valve before releasing the pump run switch. Check fluid level.
6. Repeat this process a minimum of 3 times, more if needed so the test cylinders are extending and retracting within 1.5″ of each other. Make sure the cylinders are fully extending and retracting. Make sure the platform mechanism rotates up and down properly. Check the system for any fluid leaks. Test cylinders may be a longer stroke than actual room stroke. Room stroke is listed on sync cylinder label. Test cylinders should move together (within 1.5" of each other) for stroke listed on label minus 1". After that distance test cylinders may be unsynchronized.
7. Do not move to next step if test cylinders/platform are not operating as detailed in steps 4-6.
8. Proceed with any applicable assembly line synchronizing procedures for other HWH equipment. Skip steps 1-3.
AFTER USO MECHANISM IS CONNECTED HYDRAULICALLY, BUT BEFORE ROOM IS INSTALLED.
IMPORTANT: THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS FOR ASSEMBLY LINE START UP WITHOUT ROOM ATTACHED AND USING USO MECHANISM FOR SYNCHRONIZING OF THE SYSTEM.
NOTE: Low voltage may affect operation of system. System must have 10 volts or higher under load at motor. Measure voltage between the positive motor stud and ground stud on the power unit. Push and hold pump run switch and measure voltage.
9. Remove test cylinders and connect hoses to USO mechanism.
10. Open the cylinder EXTEND valve. Push and hold the pump run switch. The platform lift will rotate up. After the platform lift is nearly/fully rotated up both USO cylinders should start to extend. After both USO cylinders are fully extended hold pump run switch for a count of five. Close EXTEND valve before releasing the pump run switch.
11. Open the cylinder RETRACT valve. Push and hold the pump run switch. Both USO cylinders should retract. After both USO cylinders are within the last inch or less of fully retracted, the platform will begin to rotate down. After platform lift is fully down hold pump run switch for a count of five. Close RETRACT valve before releasing the pump run switch. Check fluid level.
12. Repeat steps 10-11 a minimum of 3 times after the USO cylinders move within an 1.5" of each other. USO cylinders may move unsynchronized last inch of stroke.
13. Do not move to next step if mechanism and platform are not operating as detailed in steps 10-12.
14. Proceed with any applicable assembly line procedures for other HWH equipment.
AFTER ROOM IS INSTALLED.
IMPORTANT: THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS FOR ASSEMBLY LINE START UP WITH ROOM ATTACHED.
NOTE: Low voltage may affect operation of system. System must have 10 volts or higher under load at motor. Measure voltage between the positive motor stud and ground stud on the power unit. Push and hold pump run switch and measure voltage.
15. Attach the mechanism to the room.
16. Retract room using room switch. The platform lift will rotate up. After the platform lift is nearly/fully rotated up, room should start to retract (cylinder extend). The ends of the room should be within 1-1/2 inches of each other. DO NOT allow the room to rack more than 3 or 4 inches. After room is fully retracted hold room retract switch for a count of five.
17. Extend room using room switch. Room should extend (cylinder retract). The ends of the room should be within 1-1/2 inches of each other. DO NOT allow the room to rack more than 3 or 4 inches. When room is within one inch or less of fully extended the platform should begin to rotate down. After platform lift is fully down hold pump run switch for a count of five.
18. Repeat steps 16-17 a minimum of 3 times after the room ends move within an 1.5" of each other. Room may move unsynchronized last inch of stroke.
19. Room must run as detailed in steps 16-18 before proceeding to next step.
20. Adjust room/mechanism.
NOTE: All adjustments for room are done before fascia/trim/valence is installed.
21. Proceed with any applicable assembly line synchronizing procedures for other HWH equipment.
22. Recheck fluid level.
